Tanya Harrington

Tanya Harrington attended her first yoga class at 80 Princess Street (then Superior Nautilus) in 1995. The instructor was studying out of Bikrams first book, her second class was a Bikrams yoga class taken in Whistler B.C. in 2001. After her second class she was hooked and decided to become a Bikrams hot yoga instructor. In June of 2002 she graduated from Bikrams Yoga College of India in L.A. and returned to Whistler to teach full time as well as study and eventually practice Thai yoga massage & body/mind acupressure. In the fall of 2004 she traveled back to Kingston to find 80 Princess Street vacant and was ready to open her own studio. Tanya is grateful to have taught thousands of people Bikrams yoga. Having the experience of teaching a wide variety of people and witnessing how the yoga has empowered them to transform their bodies/lives, she believes the practice is miraculous for everybody (every fitness level/most diseases/aliments). If there is something about yourself or your life that needs changing she’s confident that a regular Bikrams practice will help you maintain a fit body, calm mind, and rejuvenated spirit. Tanya maintains a daily practice and it continues to challenge her, makes her feel younger, & keep her awareness growing.
